SquirrelMail Web Mail Client

SquirrelMail is included ready to use with all of our web hosting plans. As you may already know, SquirrelMail is a fantastic open-source web mail package written in PHP. It includes a wealth of features like spell checking, theming, address books, spam filtering, RBL spam filtering, custom filtering and a light-weight HTML 4.0 compliant web interface.

Many of our web hosting clients use SquirrelMail for its ease of use, fast operations and wide browser compatibility. Any HTML 4.0 compliant browser should be able to use SquirrelMail without any trouble. Javascript is not required. Take a look at the screenshot below to see an example of what the SquirrelMail interface looks like:

Easy SquirrelMail Access

The standard CPanel web mail clients run on non-standard ports, and many not be accessible behind proxy servers or firewalls.

We have setup SquirrelMail to run over the standard web port 80. This means you'll be able to access your email behind firewalls or proxy servers using SquirrelMail. This can be critically important for users who access email at work or on restricted networks.

How to access SquirrelMail

Accessing SquirrelMail couldn't be simpler. Just access the following URL:

http://www.yoursite.com/squirrel/

(Replace yoursite.com with your domain name.)

If you have not setup your DNS Servers to point to our web servers, you can also use your account's IP address to access SquirrelMail:

http://[IP ADDRESS]/squirrel/

At either of these URLs, you should see the SquirrelMail log in page. From here, simply log in using your email account username and password. Once you have logged in, you will be able to read and send email using SquirrelMail.

2 Other Webmail Choices: NeoMail & Horde

If you decide that SquirrelMail isn't the best choice for you - we also include NeoMail and Horde with all of our web hosting plans. NeoMail and Horde are also web mail clients and are integrated within the CPanel Control Panel.
