FULL DAILY BACKUPS

Backups Data loss is unfortunately inevitable so rather than be caught unprepared, it is something that must be planned for. The best way to prevent data loss is with frequent, complete data backups. With this in mind, we provide and maintain full daily backups of all client files, data and mailboxes. Backups are included for all shared, JSP Servlet, and reseller web hosting packages. Due to the sheer volume of data involved, Dedicated Server web hosting plans do not include daily backups. (Full daily backups can be purchased as an add-on for Dedicated Server clients.) How our Full Daily Backups work We use rsync technology to complete full backups each night quickly and without impacting the performance of our network and servers. The rsync technology is an intelligent algorithmic copy routine that will only copy what data is necessary to keep the backups up to date. This ensures that no network or server resources are wasted copying data that is already on the backup server. Early in the morning each of our servers performs a full daily backup to our dedicated backup servers. This ensures that our backup server maintains an accurate, up to date copy of your web site, databases, and files. In addition, we backup all server operating system, application and configuration files. This ensures that we can recover from any system problems quickly. Important Note: Our backup servers maintain just the most recent daily backup - usually the previous day's files. We do not maintain an archive or historical backup service. What if I need to restore a backup? If for some reason you need a backup restored, please let us know in our online helpdesk. We will get your files restored right away. Related Links
